Joshua 1:8 (New King James Version)

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

To have good success implies both value meanings and application meanings. There are natural, emotional, spiritual applications to good success.

Good: Good means to be good in value. Good fruit is fruit with no blemish or bruise. Good cars are well built and last a long time. Good people are morally strong and do the right thing. But a good athlete is one who is good at what he does. He doesn't just do OK at his sport or craft, he excels at it. To be a good musician is to do extremely well at playing music, better than the average person. So to be good is to excel at things while being a quality individual. 

Success: To have success means to accomplish the task and follow through to completion. It means to answer the purpose intended. Success is when something is done well and others recognize it as such. A successful doctor is one who preforms his surgeries or medical practice to such a degree that a majority have positive and favorable results. Successful musicians are heard and enjoyed by many. Successful marriages are obtained by happy and balanced couples, not just those who white knuckle through life because they don't want to divorce. Success has the connotation of happiness, fortunate, prosperous, and attaining the desired effect. Ultimately success means to achieve the goal.

Wisdom: First and foremost. Wisdom is the Person of Jesus! 1 Corinthians 1:30 says He has been made Wisdom unto us. It was Jesus speaking as Wisdom personified in Proverbs 8 see also John 1. In usage the word Wisdom means the right use or exercise of knowledge. So when we find principles in the Word of God we must then take it further and find out how that applies to our lives here and now. It's not enough to study lofty ideas of philosophy and spiritual principle, nor is it enough to study the history of a text to the point you feel you were really there. We must take it further to the point where these truths, embedded in God's word, come to life in us in a real and practical way. If we are not seeing the life of Jesus, the miracles of Jesus, and especially the LOVE of Jesus coming into and through our lives, we are missing it.

My mission in life is to take people from where ever they are and help them step further into God's plan for their life. God has told us he has good plans for us, not to harm but for our benefit and for our future and hope. He has laid out all the benefits of following Him and His ways. THE BLESSING is His will for all mankind. As Joshua led the people of God into the promised land, my calling is to help led people into the life of God and His good plans for their life. They should not be satisfied with good enough, OK, mediocre or just enough. The only way to live in God is to get more than enough of Him and His Word and His ways!

If you are tired of wondering what God would have you do and feeling there is more to life than the circular wanderings of making it from day to day, working for a paycheck to afford food and gas to get to back to work. You are right, there is! It's about time you had a chance to meditate on the Word of God day and night until you make your way prosperous and have good success! But notice, you make your way prosperous. God isn't going to do it for you! He does most of the work, actually, but there are some things you must do to cooperate with Him. Things like believing and not complaining, working with a higher work ethic than the world, and more.

Here at Good Success I desire to provide you with all the tools and insights that I can to help you on that journey. Ultimately it's your journey. You and God. But He uses people, most often, to show you things you've never seen and tell you things you've never heard. You don't know what you don't know. The difference between you now and you being more successful than you already are is that you will know something you didn't know before.
