Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI)
This can be explained in some detail here.
The way I was taught this. There are three basic personality types. Pictographed as a triangle. These personality types are based on group and organizational behavior. In other words, as people interact, how might they behave within this setting?
Blue - The Ambulance. Always seeking to be a help to others.
- These people are often attracted to nursing, or aide positions. They are the helpers, and care takers of the group.
- Natural leaders. If there is one red in the group, it's strongly likely that the red took charge. They have the goal in front of them, and they know how to delegate and get the job done.
Green - The Submarine. Quietly getting things done. Thing Excel.
- Thinkers. Often accountants, or programmers. They are generally (but not always) the quite ones. They do the work others don't want to, or can't. Often highly skilled.
HUB - The Food Truck (not the original analogy, but I can't remember what it was). Organizers.Glue. This is me.
- HUB personalities test in the center of these three. Displaying all equally. Rarest of the bunch, a HUB can become the missing link. Whichever side is most needed, the HUB will fill that gap. However, the one distinctive force, will be the HUB's drive for unity. HUB's know how all the others think and feel, instinctively, and HUB's will work to bring everyone together

MOTIVATIONAL VALUE SYSTEMS™
Relationship Awareness Theory identifies seven general themes or clusters of motives known as Motivational Value Systems (MVS). Each MVS can be traced through the work of Freud and Fromm. Relationship Awareness describes them in terms of positive strivings for self-worth by adults in relationships.Altruistic–Nurturing (Blue): Concern for the protection, growth, and welfare of others
Analytic–Autonomizing (Green): Concern for assurance that things have been properly thought out and concern for meaningful order being established and maintained
Assertive–Directing (Red): Concern for task accomplishment and concern for organization of people, time, money and any other resources to achieve desired results
Flexible–Cohering (Hub): Concern for flexibility… concern for the welfare of the group… concern for the members of the group and for belonging in the group
Assertive–Nurturing (Red-Blue Blend): Concern for the protection, growth, and welfare of others through task accomplishment and leadership
Judicious–Competing (Red-Green Blend): Concern for intelligent assertiveness, justice, leadership, order, and fairness in competition
Cautious–Supporting (Blue-Green Blend): Concern for affirming and developing self-sufficiency in self and others… concern for thoughtful helpfulness with regard for justice
